Recent years have marked an increase in the group's interaction with the
community and involvement in community affairs - several outreach programs are
designed to equip new audiences to enjoy and participate in the musical
experience. The
Singing for Seniors program reaches out to
a growing segment of the population. The Choral Society's commitment to young
area musicians is also strong - performance and scholarship opportunities are
provided for budding singers through the Bucks County Music Educators Choral
Festival, Summer Vocal Workshops at Westminster Choir College, and more.
The popular
Summer Sings program
brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the joy of learning and
singing a piece with others.
Free pre-concert lectures are often
provided for audiences. Bucks
County Choral Society regularly offers its services for regular benefit
performances to help forge strong alliances with, among others, the Community
Conservatory of Music in Doylestown, PA, and Habitat for Humanity.
