The Bucks County Choral Society has announced auditions for its 2007 - 2008 35th Anniversary season. The group, under the direction of Thomas Lloyd, has openings for all voice parts. Previous choral experience and some sight-reading skills are recommended.
In the 2007-2008 season, BCCS will offer a variety of quality programs, including a 35th Anniversary Choral Favorites Concert in October, the 30th Annual Festival of Christmas Music featuring Vaughan Williams' beloved Hodie with string quartet and piano in December, Beethoven's immortal Missa Solemnis with the Riverside Symphonia and guest soloists in March, and a 200-voice 35th Anniversary Choral Spectacular with the Fairfax Choral Society (Fairfax, VA), and Edward Alan Moore, organist, in June.
Auditions will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 and Tuesday, June 26 at the Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Meetinghouse and Bristol roads in Warminster. To make an appointment to audition, contact the Choral Society at 215-598-6142.
The Bucks County Choral Society has also announced auditions for the treble solos in Hodie, open to all pre-college age treble singers currently enrolled in a school choral program in Bucks County, as of the date of the performance. Final auditions will be held Saturday morning, October 27, 2007, at the Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Bristol and Meetinghouse Roads in Warminster, PA.
