BUCKS COUNTY CHORAL SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

released March 9, 2015

The Bucks County Choral Society announces an open application period for its annual scholarship to Westminster Choir College Summer Camps. The program involves either their Vocal Institute (July 5-18), Solo Vocal Artist (June 21 – July 4) or Musical Theater (July 19 – Aug. 2) programs.

Each summer, middle and high school students from across the nation come to Westminster (affiliated with Rider University) for an extraordinary learning experience. Working with Westminster’s renowned artist faculty, they strengthen their passion for music, develop their technique and expand their creativity in an atmosphere of artistic and intellectual discovery. Programs offer residential and non-residential options. Additional information may be found on the Rider University website.

The scholarship program accepts applications from 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students enrolled in Bucks County public and private secondary schools. Home schooled students within the same age and grade range may also apply. The single scholarship includes 100% of the tuition, room and board.

Applicants must include a written recommendation from their school choir director, private voice instructor and/or church choir leader. Application and recommendation forms may be downloaded from the links below. Annually, applications and recommendations must be received by the Choral Society no later than April 15 with the winner announced on May 1.
